Information for the processing of data collected for the purpose of managing the Municipality of MONTEPULCIANO destination with regard to sustainability.

This information is provided as the Municipality of Montepulciano, with the collaboration of the University of Siena, the Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, the Strada del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano e i Sapori della Valdichiana Senese Association and the Chamber of Commerce of Arezzo and Siena, has set up a work team for the management of the sustainability of the Montepulciano tourist destination (Deliberation of the Council n.79 of 04.05.2023), with the aim of achieving the certification of sustainable tourist destination according to the Destination Sustainability Criteria (GSTC-D) which takes into consideration sustainable governance management, socio-economic, cultural and environmental sustainability. These criteria - linking with the goals of Agenda 2030 - were defined by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) a non-profit organization, which represents various members globally, including United Nations agencies, NGOs, national governments and locals and operators of various kinds, united by the desire to support an increasingly sustainable type of tourism. It is therefore necessary to involve the interested stakeholders, which specifically are the companies in the territory of the Municipality of Montepulciano, the citizens and the tourists who choose the area as a destination for their holidays.

DATA COLLECTED
The data is collected anonymously and provided on an exclusively voluntary basis. The data requested cannot be used in any way to identify the subject who has voluntarily decided to collaborate in completing the questionnaires. Consequently, these cannot be classified as data of a personal nature, and therefore escape the regulation dictated by the GDPR.

PURPOSE OF THE TREATMENT
These data are collected and processed for the implementation of the project illustrated above, connected with the achievement of the public interest, and will in no way be used to be associated with identified interested parties and will not be subject to data interconnection operations in order to trace his identity.
