The First CNCG School on Global Navigation Satellite Systems and Related Technologies, organized by the newly born Centro Nazionale di Competenze GNSS (CNCG, https://www.asi.it/2024/10/la-radionavigazione-via-satellite-prende-il-largo-in-italia/) of ASI (asi.it) is a fantastic opportunity for 20 Graduate students, Ph.D. candidates, early-stage researchers, to enhance their skills and to connect with leading experts and peers.

Telespazio (telespazio.com), one of the major worldwide players in Satellite Communications and Navigation Services and CNIT (the Italian National Consortium for Telecommunications cnit.it), together with ASI and in the framework of the Centro Nazionale di Competenze GNSS, aim at promoting the reinforcement of Navigation sector by the enhancement of the skills and competitiveness of the industrial and research capability, considering its strategic value at national and international level.

Participants, from both academy and industry, will gain basics as well as pragmatic knowledge in areas such as orbits, signals, and receivers for GPS/Galileo/BeiDou, integration of GNSS with other sensors, industrial applications, future horizons of navigation and positioning.

4 ECTSs (equivalent to Italian CFUs) will be available for all participants, after passing a final exam.

* The participation fees (Registration and teaching materials) and lunches on the days of 7, 8, 9 and 10 October 2025 are to be borne by Centro Nazionale di Competenze GNSS while the other expenses not mentioned above (e.g. accommodation, transportation, dinners etc.) are the responsibility of each participant.

The attendance is mandatory for all the duration of the Summer School.

You must have:
  • a bachelor’s degree (at least 3 years academic path). The academic background of the candidates must include STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering and Information and Communication Technology. Economic, financial, humanistic, politics backgrounds shall not be admitted to the selection process.
